Parent Testimonials for the 2009 Persian STARtalk program
Dear Professor Atefeh and Ms. Paydar,
Thank you for a wonderful language experience you structure to happen every day at SDSU. Eudoria enjoys every moment of it although she can't understand everything that is spoken at this time. However, she is surprised everyday how much she could learn and understand. I am confiident that she will grow in abundance by the end of the school term and find it difficult to say good bye. Thank you for giving her the step by step lessons that builds her confidence in the Persian langauge and culture and it will be a positive experience she will never forget. In addition. Eudoria made very good friends here and I am very glad she in turn reciprocates mutual friendship for her classmates as well. The most wonderful thing that happens to her is that she develops greater appreciation of her own language and heritage because she sees how other cultures like her own tries to revive it with interesting teaching programs like this that is fun and interactive. Many thanks for a job well done for the youngsters in your Persian Language Program. Keep up the good job. Your hard work and dedication is deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Joan Ho
I am amazed at how rapidly both my children have absorbed and learned new vocabulary, the alphabet and even began reading short sentences. Both my husband and I are very happy with the outcome and look forward to them learning more before the program ends. I also think that my children teacher ( Pooneh) is very professional and caring, she always has a cheerful attitude and has motivated them and praise them at all times. This is a very hard language to learn, in my opinion, I believe the program, curriculum and the teacher has made a tremendous impact in their learning.

My husband and me would like to thank you for this wonderful program. Our girls did share with us their beautiful work. They were very proud to explain to us their art work and read the words in Farsi. Friday you mentioned about the students who applied for next year. Aya bayad ma ham esme onha ra baraye sal dige benevisim. Just to let you know the song my children are singing in our house or in the shower these days is: ey Iran ey Marze porgohar...
Merci mojadadan for this amazing program,
Ali and Roya
It's almost 2 years which we moved to USA from Iran, but I've noticed that my dougther (Raha Hamasian) prefers to speak English more than Farsi at home, that's why I thought Startalk will help her not to forget her Farsi. I registered my children because, most of all , it seems that the program has some fun stuff , that's why my doughtier likes to go there. And also all the activities & works seems to be very helpful. If it was possible to extend length of the program , that would be more useful for the kids. I think 3 weeks is a kind of short period.
Thank you,
Haleh Javidi
